Home/ Service Area/ Dolan Springs

Mohave County · Remote High Desert

Off the highway, off the grid in places, and a long way from most contractors.

Dolan Springs sits high enough for real winter and remote enough that a lot of trades will not come. We do — and we will tell you honestly on the phone when we can get there.

Heating matters as much as cooling up here.

At 3,400 feet Dolan Springs gets genuinely cold. Nights below freezing are routine in winter, and a heating system that would be an afterthought down in the valley is the thing that actually matters here. Most of it runs on propane, and propane equipment needs correct pressure and correct orifices to burn clean.

Summers still reach the high 90s and beyond, so systems here are asked to do both jobs well — and many of them are older units on manufactured homes that were installed a long time ago and maintained lightly since.

We will be straight with you about scheduling. Dolan Springs is a real drive from Kingman, and we would rather give you an honest window than a promise we cannot keep. If we can be there today we will say so. If it is tomorrow, we will say that instead.

If we cannot get there today we will tell you today, not after you have waited all afternoon.

How we schedule, Dolan Springs

What Dolan Springs calls us for

Winter priority

Propane Furnace Service

Pressure, orifices, combustion, and safety checks on propane heat — done properly, not guessed at.

Regulator pressure, orifice sizing, combustion analysis, and safety controls. A furnace converted from natural gas without the right orifices burns rich and soots up — we see it regularly out here.

Manufactured homes

Package Units & Underfloor Duct

The dominant setup out here. Repair, replacement, and the duct beneath the home that rodents get into.

The cabinet outside plus the duct runs beneath the home, which is where most of the wasted cooling actually goes.

Before winter

Heating Check

A fall heating visit is worth more than a spring AC visit at this elevation. Catch it before the first hard freeze.

Burner operation, heat exchanger inspection, gas pressure, blower performance, and safety controls — verified before the first hard freeze rather than after it.

Desert classic

Evaporative & Swamp Coolers

Service, repair, and full replacement across Dolan Springs. Pads, pumps, float valves, motors, and belts — and straight advice on when a cooler still beats refrigerated air.

Seasonal start-up and shutdown, pad and pump replacement, float and water-line repair, motor and bearing work, and complete unit replacement on roof-mount and side-draft installations, including manufactured homes. When monsoon humidity has a cooler no longer keeping up, we will quote a refrigerated conversion alongside the repair so you can compare both numbers.

Detached buildings

Mini-Splits

Shops, garages, and additions on rural property where extending the main system is not practical.

Single-zone through multi-zone. We size per room rather than per building, run the line set where it will not be an eyesore, and set it up so the detached space is genuinely comfortable rather than just conditioned.

Straight pricing, before we start

A residential diagnostic visit is $178 — that covers the $99 dispatch fee and the $79 diagnostic, and the diagnostic comes off your bill when you approve the repair. Commercial diagnostics are $155 with a one-hour minimum. You get the number before anyone opens a panel. We install Trane, quoted in three tiers side by side.

Dolan Springs questions we get asked

Do you service evaporative (swamp) coolers in Dolan Springs?
Yes — we service, repair, and install them. Pads, pumps, floats, motors, belts, and water lines, plus complete replacements on roof-mount and side-draft units and on manufactured homes. If yours has stopped keeping up in monsoon humidity, we will price a refrigerated conversion next to the repair so you can decide with both numbers in front of you.
Will you really come out to Dolan Springs?
Yes. It is a drive from Kingman and we will be honest with you about the window when you call, but we service it regularly and we do not treat it as too far.
Do you work on propane furnaces?
Yes — propane is standard out here. Pressure, orifice sizing, and combustion all matter, and a furnace converted from natural gas without the right parts will burn dirty.
How cold does it actually get up here?
Cold enough that heating is not optional. Freezing nights are routine in winter, which is why we recommend a fall heating check rather than waiting until something quits in January.
What does a service call cost?
A residential diagnostic visit is $178, which covers the $99 dispatch fee and the $79 diagnostic. The $79 portion comes off your bill when you approve the repair. Commercial diagnostics are $155 with a one-hour minimum.
