Downtime costs more than the repair. That is the whole job.

When a rooftop unit quits at a restaurant in July, the loss is not the compressor — it is the shift you send home, the walk-in you have to empty, and the customers who go somewhere else. We run commercial work on that clock, not on a residential one.

Air-Exx services and installs rooftop package units, split systems, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and mechanical-room equipment for restaurants, retail, offices, churches, storage facilities, and property managers across Mohave and Yavapai County. We are licensed under Arizona ROC 350424, classification CR-39 — the state classification for air conditioning and refrigeration — and we are bonded and insured, which your landlord or insurer will ask about.

Commercial diagnostics are $155 with a one-hour minimum, and you get that number on the phone. If we find something that is going to be expensive, you will hear it from us before we start, with the reading that says so.

We would rather tell you a compressor is on its way out in October than replace it for you in July.

How we run commercial accounts

We also do buyer and seller inspections on commercial buildings, which is often the cheapest few hundred dollars in a transaction — a rooftop unit at the end of its life is a five-figure line item somebody is about to own.

What we handle

Most common

Rooftop Package Units

Repair, replacement, and scheduled service on RTUs — the workhorse of every strip center and small commercial building in the county.

Compressors, condenser fan motors, contactors and capacitors, economizers, belts and bearings, and curb adapters on replacement. We measure superheat and subcooling and show you the numbers, and on replacement we run the load rather than matching the old tonnage by default.

Food service

Walk-In Coolers & Freezers

Refrigeration is a different trade from air conditioning, and we do both. Product loss does not wait for a callback.

Condensing units, evaporator coils, defrost timers and boards, door gaskets and heaters, and temperature controls. We keep common refrigeration parts on the truck because a walk-in down overnight is inventory in the dumpster.

Restaurants

Ice Machines & Refrigeration

Ice machines, reach-ins, prep tables, and the rest of the equipment a kitchen cannot run without.

Cleaning and descaling, water filtration, harvest and float issues, and full replacement. Hard Mohave County water is brutal on ice machines, and most of what we see is scale rather than a failed part.

Multi-tenant

Property & Facility Management

One number for a portfolio of buildings, with documentation your owner will actually accept.

Scheduled maintenance across multiple units and addresses, written condition reports with photos, capital-planning input on which units are near end of life, and prioritized dispatch when a tenant calls you first.

Big systems

Mechanical Rooms, Boilers & Pumps

Pumps, boilers, air handlers, and the controls that tie them together in larger buildings.

Circulator pumps, boiler controls and safeties, air-handler blower and belt service, and the electrical side of the mechanical room. If the building is bigger than a split system, we are still the right call.

Before you buy

Commercial Inspections

Buyer and seller HVAC inspections on commercial property, with a written report and real numbers.

Age, condition, refrigerant type, remaining life, and what replacement would realistically cost. On an older building this is the difference between negotiating with facts and finding out in August.

Straight pricing, before we start

A residential diagnostic visit is $178 — that covers the $99 dispatch fee and the $79 diagnostic, and the diagnostic comes off your bill when you approve the repair. Commercial diagnostics are $155 with a one-hour minimum. You get the number before anyone opens a panel. We install Trane, quoted in three tiers side by side.

Questions we get asked

What does a commercial service call cost?
Commercial diagnostics are $155 with a one-hour minimum, and you get that number before we dispatch. Labor beyond the first hour is quoted before we continue, and any parts are approved by you first.
Do you do refrigeration, or just air conditioning?
Both. Walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, reach-ins, and prep tables, alongside rooftop units and split systems. They are related trades but not the same one, and plenty of AC companies do not touch refrigeration.
How fast can you get to a commercial emergency?
We answer around the clock Monday through Saturday and dispatch an on-call technician. We are closed Sundays. Call (928) 565-6440 and you will get a real window, not a maybe.
Do you offer maintenance agreements for businesses?
Yes. Scheduled visits, written condition reports, and priority dispatch. For a business where downtime costs more than the repair, the agreement usually pays for itself the first time it prevents a shutdown.
Can you work with our property management company or landlord?
Yes. We are licensed under Arizona ROC 350424, bonded and insured, and we provide the documentation and certificates of insurance that landlords and management companies ask for.
What brands do you install commercially?
We install Trane and quote replacements in three tiers side by side. On existing equipment we service whatever is on the roof, regardless of brand.

Where we work

Equipment down? Call before you lose the day.

Around the clock Monday through Saturday. Closed Sundays. A real person answers — never a recording — and gets our on-call technician moving.
